Dr. Alexandra Politaki

Alexandra Politaki is a Human Rights Defender and PhD holder in Political Sciences with expertise in societies in crisis, the population on forced movement contexts (migration, refugee, and climate), Human Rights, and International Protection. She has worked in Governmental bodies, UN Agencies and International Non-Governmental Organizations mostly in field roles and positions in war and conflict zones and natural disasters in the Emergency Response context and the last years in Greece. She has also collaborated with research networks, and her research work has been presented at several international conferences. She is a columnist and established contributor in leading Press. For the last two years, has been certified as EU Climate Pact Ambassador by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG Clima, with a particular interest in Climate population movement, Climate Justice and Climate Change Advocacy in transition and adaptation frameworks.
